Those is to be considered the width of the neck (fingerboard) of a guitar. Large hands with broad fingers need a broad fingerboard. Generally there are two types of guitars: western guitars and concert guitars. Western guitars are preffered to the concert guitars for song company. Concert guitars are meant for classical and are equiped with tree out of six nylon sides (which sound more softly). In a guitarstand the stands not only more safe but also within easy reach. In example you will play more as if the would be in a sleeve.

The most important for the motivation and the fun while playing is in my opinion the selection of the songs.
